Terra Cotta Warriors: June 2nd

The Terra Cotta Warriors is a tomb the Chinese uncovered that contained thousands of clay soldiers. Each soldier is a replica of an actual soldier that lived in that time, each is different and unique. The presentation is very impressive and the statues are amazing. The man who the tomb belongs to was a very cruel man (as is expected from someone who demands a projects like this) but the Chinese of this century see him as one of the greatest rulers because he providing wealth for Chinese today through tourism. They figure, the great ruler knew this and did it to help out future China.

One of the most interesting experiences of the day was seeing the man that discovered the terra cotta warriors. If this guy had found the greatest discovery of the country in America, he would have been a very rich man. But in China, because the government has control over everything, they took his farm away from him, and have him sit at a table each and every day signing books for tourists like me. I felt bad for him, but what he discovered blew me away.
